A Thousand Miles or More brings together paintings by Jennifer Mumby\, Jennifer Stottle Taylor\, and Hal Cronkhite\, each inspired by places more than a thousand miles from Huntsville. Shaped by firsthand experience\, these works reflect the color\, light\, atmosphere\, and fleeting moments that can only be captured by being there. Embracing Art is an annual juried exhibit featuring works by North Alabama-connected artists and was the inaugural exhibit for the Carnegie Visual Arts Center in April 2003. The exhibit includes works in multiple media including pencil\, watercolor\, oil\, acrylic\, clay\, and mixed media. The artists are included in the exhibit from their submitted applications including photographs of up to 3 pieces of their art.\n \nEvents to be held in celebration of this exhibit are: \nEmbracing Art XXIV  Open House & Awards Presentation\,\nTuesday\, March 24th\, 10:00-5:00\nAn All-day Open House & an Awards Presentation will be held in the gallery.
