The Carnegie Visual Arts Center presents the 24th annual exhibit Embracing Arts, A Coming Together of Amateur & Professional Artists from March 24-May 10, 2026. Embracing Art is an annual juried exhibit featuring works by North Alabama-connected artists and was the inaugural exhibit for the Carnegie Visual Arts Center in April 2003. The exhibit includes works in multiple media including pencil, watercolor, oil, acrylic, clay, and mixed media. The artists are included in the exhibit from their submitted applications including photographs of up to 3 pieces of their art.

Tuesday, March 24th, 10:00-5:00
An All-day Open House & an Awards Presentation will be held in the gallery. Winners of the Embracing Art exhibit will be announced by Executive Director, Kim Mitchell at 12:15.
Artist Reception, Friday, March 27th, 6:00-7:30 pm
Join us for the Artists’ Reception of Embracing Art, A Coming Together of Amateur and Professional Artists. Members-FREE and Guests-$5. Appetizers and a cash bar will be available.
