This body of work, created by Beth Walldorf, focuses on Alabama’s native botanicals. Through these paintings, the artist hopes to honor them and call attention to the threats they face from habitat loss and non-native species. This exhibit invite viewers to look more closely at the land we call home, and to imagine a future where Alabama’s native flora is not only preserved, but celebrated.
